boot lock
Is it a push button lock, or a turn only lock ?
If a push button long bit of 6x2 and whack/thump the lock hard, have to disassemble my boot lock about every 4-6 months on me sapphy as the grit from the garage roof slates jams it up, this is what I have to do.

its a push button i will try a good hit on it, thankyou for replie i will let you know how i get on.
take it out and soak some silicon base spray
make sure the lock is upside down first and the other way so soaks though 90%
if u leave the lock in the car half the job !
My RS500 lock was not moving and locking the boot used the spray tf2 bike stuff did the trick

The problem I found with mine is no amount of wd40 or similar would help as lock was physically jammed as grit had got past seal ring.
I ended up after a few years taking the lock apart again to clean it out but this time replaced the internal seal in the housing holding the push button and replaced this with a felt seal, not had a problem since, that was around 2 years ago, prior to that I was doing the lock between 2 and 3 times a year, take out strip down clean out etc etc.
My mate pissed himself laughing as I carried a block of 6x2 around to open the lock, but carried it in the boot ha ha, what a numpty!!
