rears were a pain in the ass, ie the inner wishbone ones as u have to cut the steel liner out... which was fun... a diyer may struggle imo bit take your time and its not that hard a job.

i used powerflex

i posted a polybush thread on here a month or so ago,

i fitted full deflex with stainless inserts,
removal.
tips are-

rear inner wishbone bushes, burn em out!
rear inner tie-bar bushes ,burn em out!

in fact any you have trouble with, burn em,its smelly and dirty, but safer than cutting with a knife, take em off the car first tho!

fitting
tips are!
front arb outer bushes, compress the suspension when tightening up and torqueing,so the bush dont slip
steering rack bushes, set aside a day of swearing, skint knuckles and shite in your face, also go on a contorsionists lesson for reaching the bolts, drivers side reachable through wheel inner wing, and the passengers similar, the hardest to fit of all on a fully finished car.
rear hub/tiebar outer, again raise the rear wishbone(i used my jack as my wheels where all off)when tightening/torqueing up the nuts,to prevent a slipped bush.
rear arb/pivot bar,you need fuel tank off,and maybe invest in some new tie bar shackles from ford,£18 pluss vat each me thinks.
grease all components up librally, theyll set better, but really easy to fit otherwise
hope this helps.

print and keep.

ps,i got all my bushes in the same colour,i got my exhaust mounts the same too, deflex can do most colours if you ask and wait, they also do hard race compounds, mine are road ,and fine, stiff not squidgy! £96.delivered stainless inserts too!

Default de flex

i used deflex bushes excellent ...and half the price of power flex really makes the car feel a helluva lot 'tighter' i myself am a novice mechanic and i managed it ok try using a old socket and hammer to knock out the old bushes..rember the nut on the front anti roll bar drivers side is a left handed thread i.e it unwinds the opposite way from usual....i found this out the hard way... hope this helps

Got Deflex in mine and no problems.

I believe the exhaust mounts arent a good idea as you need a bit of flex or you can crack downpipes etc.

I can't recomend them highly enough. I fitted them all round on my S2 quite a few years ago and they're still good now.

Just a handy tip, powerflex are great bushes but for really hard track use, i went for TAS Solid nylon Front ARB and Solid Nylon Outer TCA Bushes. This cured the tremendous weaving that i suffered under hard braking. One word of advice if you run big brakes (Ap's etc) and full slicks on trackdays, be prepared for the N/S ARB nut to keep unwinding from the ARB - this is due to the huge amount of heat in that area.. I ended up drilling and splitpining my arb to stop this. Contrary to popular belief, the ride quality, noise levels ins't that bad.. I agree with the chap concerning the strut top bushes - waste of time & money... fit ford ones..just as good.

Default Bushes!

I put Deflex polly bushes all round on my S2. Piece of piss to fit as they come in two pieces with an insert through the middle, u can get the inserts in mild steel or stainless. Stainless is a little more expensive but i would recomend them.
They advertise in Fastford mag, great company and they will replace any faulty or failed bushes streight away no messing!
