Default rads

probably a silly question but here goes would an mk4 xr3i rad fit an rs turbo cause i can get hold of a ali. core rad for xr3i cheapish?

Nope, S2 rad is smaller to allow space for the interwarmer to go beside it.

They are possible to use but but you'll need it fabricating to accept water outlet from turbo and only possible to use if you have a frontal intercooler. would be worth the effort though as the XR3i units are wider than the S2 ones and therefore better

You can use the XR3i radiator, dont worry about the waterway for the turbo.


Swap over for a S1 T3 that runs the oil cooled turbo, not water/oil cooled like the S2, get a decent intercooler (GRS or PRO Alloy)

imo the car runs cooler with out the water cooled turbo as all the turbo does is heats up the water and defeats the object

just my personal opinion


im going to be running a T34 with no water, just oil

i don't really want to do that as i've got a hybrid turbo plus it comes down to cash flow,, i've got a grs evo 3 cooler to put in i'll see if any body on here wants to swap a proper rs alloy rad for a pace charge cooler i have lying around..i'm liking the mini freddy when my m8 was serving his time as a mecanic that was his first car 1300 mg m,etro engine blew off xr2s when they they were still a fast car (no disrespect to xr2 oweners as ihave had one myself fucking great car i would luv a turbo'd one!!!!)

That was just an option

if you was to buy an ally rad there more than decent enough to keep temps down
