S1 Barkham

My fuel pump relay has decided to give up on me.
Was just wondering on a possible price of one from ford or any better solutions.
Also would any of you have one for sale?

fuel pump relay for a s2rs is £24 i just brought one...i have one spare two spare also! one is a fords one the other some unknown make but does work as thats what i had on mine till i replaced it without needing to

Different Relay on an S1 for some reason.

I have one somewhere, only about 6 months old, pulled it out when i changed to efi, il go and try to find it

S2 relays work of pulses from the coil. S1 relays run off pulses from the ECU. You have to use which ever relay was originally fitted to your car.

Both can be repaired to a certain degree.

Is that barkham from syston with the relay prob? i work at ford n could probs get u 1 if u aint got one yet! (stock price)

Anyone know what colour the relay should be on an S1? and the base it plugs into?


Im SURE mine has S2 wiring fitted for my fuel pump as its that pinky/purpley colour

S1 Relay is silver and quite wide

As above, with a 5 way connector at one end like a normal relay ant then one single connector at the other end.

Also the Purple coloured relay is for the series 2 and is also half the price!

yeah mines just gone too

£25 from ford, but the ignition relay is the same and they're only £8 just get one of those, if you look in the fuse box its on the same row

if it ever happens again you can just swap them over to get your car home as the ignition one only comes into play when bty runs out
