Default bhp help

Just bought a series 2 rs couple of weeks ago
and the guy i got it from said it has a stage 1
ava chip in it. he showed me the dyno chart
and is only running 136.8 bhp surely that cant be

ava's rollers at only at wheel power i belive so that would be around 150/160 at the fly! sounds about right to me

does it have a boost gauge?! or it might say on the dyno read out! ...

always good to have a boost gauge...

No it doesn't have a boost gauge or say
anything on the read out. Want to get some
gauges though as i don't want it running too
high all the time. Any idea where to get some?

yes...auto meter....can get them from reel steal..good prices! or christianandbecky on here do them...he also sells the defi gauges! they are mint..but cost!

i would say auto meter cus they look fantastic..but be warned the ultra lite are not white they are silver! i found out aftre i ordered them!

The power graph you will have should have:

Boost pressure
Intercooler ambient temp
power

all in the same box.

If its an old style AVA graph it will loo like this:

hmmmm, Auto (incorrect) meter gauges

Why pay big money for something like a boost gauge, get a TIM one or something, cheap gauge and gives you a rough idea

Gonna check my graph again for boost,
will also have a shop around for some gauges.

Checked out my graph and it's running at 15psi. is that too high for a standard car or will it run fine?

if its running 15psi i think it should be running 165-170bhp at the flywheel

Thanx mate im very happy with the condition it's in. think it was just used as a summer car as its only done 20k in last 11 years.
