Default boost drop at 4000 rpm

hy my escort rs turbo mfi have a piper cam mongoose exhaust

and brand new stage 2 turbo

and i have a turbosystem chipped ecu

after a rebuild engine and running it in for the luxembourg MOT i put the turbo pressure very low at the wastgate
then i want to have again more boost
i put the wastegate a little bit shorter that was livered the new stage 2 turbo
i tryed the drive the car well the turbo start charging like at 2800 rpm very pushing

but than it s stopped at 4000 rpm and the rpm fall down ..

like a big stop at 4000 rpm with a strange turbo noise likes it stop or hit a wall

to mutch boost? but i have a turbosystem chip in the ecu...

It is possible as it will have a boost limit either at 18 psi or 23 psi depending on the map we supplied at the time
If you supply me the hand written number on the Turbo systems label I will tell you what to set it to

well ok is my ecu 18psi (1.24 bar )limited

i push the turbo pressure down at 1.5 -1.6 bar the car goes better but still cutting at 4500 rpm

then push again the power down like 1.3- 1.4 bar it s runn perfekt but only somtimes cutting in the 3 gear full trottle
after some pushing my AFR still red and still on 22.33 for 3 seconde at then very lean and than continue normal driven again fine is this normal ? not enough fuel

my afr at idle is between 14-15

well i need a no limit ecu chip

Get your car to a tuner as soon as possible mate as it requires mechanical tuning, not just a chip.
You are very lucky its so lean as if it was richer you would have holes in your pistons by now!!

As Stu says if you have not had the fuelling set to match the boost you are probably very lean and this is your problem!

setup is priority when upping boost pressure. could be a boost hose collapsing, boost cut as tony has indicated the chip DOES have a boost cut. sometimes a lean engine will miss fire. I would refrain from driving it hard/on boost until its been setup and checked out. going from 8psi to over a bar is a massive jump, mfi cant fuel for both ends of the spectrum. as mine stands it is on the lean side at 10 psi but fuels perfectly at a bar of boost. and tbh a bar is about the most mfi can fuel for. setting up is a bit of a guessing game and only a experienced tuner should really set these cars up

I predict a missing piston crown thread soon

Don't adjust the CO screw only, adjust the fuel pressure screw. Aim for an AFR of 11ish at higher boost levels. You will be rich below max boost.

The little black box on the RIGHT hand side of the metering unit (as you look from the front of the car), take it off, turn the 3mm allen key one quater of a turn at a time CLOCKWISE to richen, ANTICLOCKWISE to lean.... You will need a pair of det cans and a WBO2 to set it up properly, adjust the idle mixture screw last.

Please take it to a tuner mate. This job is clearly not within your capabilities.

well u can tell with your AFR , if its leans out to much at the top then tweek it slighty.

But that is a very crude way of doing it

GO TO A TUNER >>>>>>>> NOW ! lol

He said he hasn't got a wide and kit mate so he can't monitor AFR.

I know efi cars that have touching 200bhp with standard fuel pressure but im not to familiar with MFI.

get a wideband asap mate, innovate ones are spot one then u can see what is going on with the fueling, also put an inline fuel pressure gauage in so if u do tweek it u know what your taking it to
