Default zetec turbo inlet?

Im just starting a zetec turbo conversion on my escort rs turbo and have been looking at inlets, I think I want to use a efi bottom half with a custom plenum on top, what do you lot think?

its doable as its what i have but you will need a adapter plate as well,so by the time you add it all up you may as well get one made that will bolt straight to a zetec

mine.. frst bottom end and a jamsport top half(with lots of work done to it )

I'm just using a focus rs inlet, the 2.0 focus item is the same.

In the future I might go for a inlet from crazycage

it would be good to see once you have done it .

imo the jenvey not the best design for big power and i will be putting it to the test on a flow bench and then the dyno with one of mine on my own engine and im confident mine will out perform it.

The zetec e will be for my mate so I know there will end up being pic,s on here, lol, we were going to adapt a hart plenium to fit but the other day I thought sod it , I will design another a long the lines of the one on my 3dr but minus the adjustable runners , and I am going to build a sierra 3dr with a zetec se so I am going to do one for that in time aswell , should be fun,
As for the performance of pleniums some work better down low while others are all up top so it not as clear cut as good or bad just more what do you want from it ,
Will you be posting your results up ref" your test ?

Interesting! Look forward to seeing both your designs and results. I've got a Jenvey on my car but am considering other options for my next project.

Yup, thread revival, shoot me

I was looking at doing something similar to this as I also have the bottom half of an RS1800 inlet, the only thing that put me off was what else it needs.
Sensors/vacuum pipes etc etc, anyone shed some light?
