Default Speedo sensor removal

As above, the sensor on the gearbox with the wires, how do you remove it?

Cheers, Paul

I've just got rid of all that too, it was easy to put back, but I removed it after I had removed all the abs crap, so can't think if it was easy or not,

Why you removing it?

Sound. Eh think the drive is fucked. Did your sensor spin on top of the box when it was fitted or not?

no, it stays still the inside turns.

to get to the drive you have to remove the speed sensor then there is a roll pin through the diff housing, this needs removing in order to get the bit that the speed senor attaches to out of the gearbox, the drive is below that

Got it mate, fitted a new cable and the speedo still doesnt work, is it likely to be the drive thats fucked or the clocks?

Cheers for the help, Paul

take the cable off at the gearbox again and then turn the inner while somebody watches the speedo, if it moves the clock should be fine

I would use side cutters to squeeze the pin whilst levering against the gearbox casing.

Don't squeeze so hard that you cut the pin.

Or you could try a good pair of vice grips

To be honest I think you will struggle to drill it, esp with the gearbox in situ.

Keep soaking it in wd40 or similar, including where the pin holds the stub that the cable screws onto.
