Default miss fire

i was on about a miss fire on the car the other day. its all new plugs leads etc, now today i was out fiddling and cracked the injectors open when it was running and 1,3, and 4 made the engine take a drop but no 2 took a second for fuel to come out the when i nipped it up it ran sweet. went for a run and after 2 miles went back to missing so i got home cracked no 2 and it picked up again.

any ideas?

oh when its missing it does it on idle and off boost but clears when on boost??

If they are 20+ year old injectors then I would fit four new ones without a second thought, sounds like you have one not opening reliably and they generally all leak these days too making hot start difficult (often incorrectly cured by unplugging the cold start injector).
