Default best wheels for an s2..opinion and pics?

im mid-resto with my s2 and starting to think about alloys.

the car is diamond white and currently wearing a set of stock rs turbo alloys.. im doing my best to make it near as concourse as possible (or as i can afford lol), the car will be a garage queen and used when it is dry only.

i like the look of softline 7 spokes.. but im in two minds to keep it stock.. but then again, the softlines are ford and they are a (later) rs option- so does it matter? or am i being neurotic?

i need opinions please.. would you put a mint set of stock alloys, or 16" softlines on a (aspiring to be) almost concourse car..?

i know many say stock is best.. but are softlines acceptable or would they put neurotic concourse nutters off if i ever decide to sell it..??

pics would help!

Mine was a totally standard 2 owner car with 79k and FSH when I bought it but wanted to change the wheels and make it a tad lower. I've kept the original/standard wheels and suspension for when I come to sell it, if that ever happens lol! Things like wheels are easily put back to standard but I would keep your original S2 rims as they will be correctly date stamped to the car.

Rs7 diamond cuts are the best wheel for a series 2 imo closely followed by softlines, standards, momo arrows, super t's, superleggera.

I was gonna say standard or Escos rims.
But looking at the Azev As, they look wicked too!

16" Speedline Mistral.... like feckin hens teeth apparently the Vauxhall boys were paying Ł500 for a scabby set back in 2005-6

Ive got a set in the back garden and loaned them to a couple of mates when they been getting their own wheels refurbed. Mk5 Escorts and S2's look well on them. They both asked if Id sell them

Quick photoshop of mine on a white RST

Standard for me, but when going for brake upgrades where standard is not an option its gotta be Compomotive alloys, in my case MO5:

And they have to be in white!
