Default 4pots fitted/ bled ...but

.........extremely spongy.

What could it be??

no visable leaks around the lines, im suspecting master cylinder. the 4pots are only fitted to front, they have 4 individual nipples on each caliper.

Cheers

if your brakes were not spongey prior to fitting the 4 pots only after then you still have air in the system

botters, interesting you say that, they were similar prior to the change. Which makes me think it might be the cylinder

You only need to bled 2 of them not all 4. Cant remember if its top 2 or bottom 2 though. I'm sure someone will confirm.

Make sure your bleeding the top 2 to get all the air out, otherwise its the MS. They only have 4 nipples (I'm guessing they are Wilwoods) so they can be used on either side for kitcars etc.

well, re-bled but still no joy. it stops when moving forwards/backwards within the drive (low speed) but on the road it doesn't play ball. I've been thinking of a pedal box and think its time to chuck one in.

I had a sierra once that wouldn't bleed properly and had really spongy brakes etcetc, turned out there was grit in one of the calliper threads letting air in.

Sounds like your master cylinder may be up the duff tho mate...
