Default Can anyone recommend a car alarm?

I need to secure my ERST.

Does anyone have any knowledge on the Clifford Concept 650?

I have a budget of £400.

Cheers.

I have the 650MKII with smart windows and intelistart, etc.. (Basicaly and Avantguard 5.5) excellent alarm
No offence to anyone but the Cliffords are very complex and a lot of the time it's user error causing issues more than anything, or poor fitment.

I have had a Toad AI606 in my S2 for the four years I have owned the car and hasnt missed a beat - just had to change the key fob battery and thats it and it was originally fitted in 2004. Defo the way forward.

No false alarms etc etc - spot on really.

Toad every time. Cliffords are great for showing off silly toys with, very installation sensitive and as good as the hype would have you believe. Kids love them though

Whatever you get just make sure it's installed PROPERLY, 'cos that's where most problems stem from!

had a clifford put on mine, took him most of the day

never had a bit of bother with it

didnt bother with any toys just total closure - not bothered about fancy stuff

my apprentice at the time had a zetec-s with remote start, took it for MOT they parked it up in gear near a wall, pressed the wrong button - it was back at the garage a little while later getting the bumper sorted

I've got some clifford, can't remember which one, but one of the more expensive ones with intelli start (not a good idea with MFI), total closure etcetc and loads of wanky sensors, think it cost the last owner most of a grand for the pleasure..... TOTAL PAIN IN THE ARSE. went of all the time, so had to turn the sensors off with the remote (whats the point in that?).

Im going to give it one more shot when the car is back on the road, i will re fit it etc. and then take it to be reprogrammed, if its still shite i will fit the toad i used on my last car which was spot on.

Most important thing is to get it fitted properly with a certificate for the insurers.

Good luck!
