Default Setting up solid lifters

Can anyone give me a point by point walk-through on how to set up solid lifters? Got a newman cam on its way and want to get it fitted this weekend before my kent finishes eating itself up

Surely your better letting a good reputable tuning company set them up!?

Yeah bit overkill for just setting the lifter gaps! lol

Quick guide....

1. Bring cam lobe to top, rotate cam 180deg
2. Insert lifter
3. Fit rocker arm and TORQUE nut up
4. Meassure gap
5. Remove lifter and adjust
6. Repeat from point 2.

Are the lifter gaps in the info that comes with the cam kit karlos? Should be arriving tomorow so haven't got anything to go on yet

And how long did it take you to do when you set yours up all in?

if it's your first time setting one up allow a good 4 hours and a vernier helps so if you know you are say 0.5mm to big measure it with vernier and adjust measuring till your desired size is obtained lock of nut and put it back in engine for last double check saves you having to put it in engine to see if you've moved it enough as the amount you'll be moving will be so minimal and not visable by eye
