big problem with airtec intercooler

Default big problem with airtec intercooler

well i have fitt the two radiator from airtec but i can t put my spec 90 bumper back



i can t put more back my water radiator





i cant put the water cooler more back because it s touch the turbo wastegate
im scared because i changed in my restoration the front panel...

seems to be the way with a front mount cooler. it wasnt made to take a cooler so big so you've got to make it fit.

pic borrowed off here (thread called "lets see your s2 rs turbo's") looks like he got same cooler and the bumper still looks like it hasnt been messed with. so assume he's made it fit further out, added spacers to the mounting bolts. but only thing with that is the line around the front wheel arch.

put the jigsaw down and put the fans on the front of the intercooler, then only slight trimming is needed to the bumper

i fitted all 3 rad, cooler and I/C same as what you've got and i can confirm from your pics your rad isnt pushed back far enough, the minium gap you can have is 1cm from the turbo to the rad, get everything off including the rad and route the loom backwards off the crossmember and then your rad will go back abit. Easy stuff.

well i can fix my bumber but the bumper touch the radiator
??
are there no spacer between the front panel and the bumber?









i think it is good now but the inside of the bumper touch the intercooler

I put some washers between bumper and car chassis and that solved my problems with airtec ic / rad. I cant take pictures now because my car is in winter storage but later in this month.
