which one do you use. for a s2 escort.

need new one. want a really good one

I always go down the tat yard and get one from an escort diesel, only a tenner and never had a problem!

The 1800 mate, the battery just fits in the tray! Serious cranking power!

You could but itl cost ya £60+. The tat yard always drop tests mine and give a 3 month warrenty, like i said before, never had a problem and its well worth the risk of a tenner!

does eny1 know top of there head the max dimentions on a battery you can use for the s2 escort.

if u fit a battery too large a capacity the alternator won't be strong enough to maintain it fully

i've got transit batteries on both my fords. orion rst and cortina mk2 x-flow. both can take abit of cranking in the cold, never had any probs. plus the orion has abit of stereo.

Dont buy batterys from halfords you will get ripped off! Pop down your local factor and try and pick up a bosch 1 or something similar you should get a 3 or 4 year warranty with that and pay half the price of a halfords one.

funny that, because my battery went on my vectra last week, and halfords managed to beat every single motor factor/garage i went to in the area, and thats based on a boggo budget brand from the motor factors too

i too assumed halfords would be useless on price, but figured id get a price whilst picking up some rattle can paint, and soon as i realised they beat the cheapest elsewhere by a few quid, i grabbed 1

i went to car spares and i got one with a 3 year guarentee for £35 and its tiny compared to the old one but has alot more power and runs well
