already phoned he said it should take 260+ ft/lb i'm not so sure. does shot peening make that much difference

id say mine is around 300 an its still holding out

most of the fastest rst around run them olli and tim nms cars also run them.

i would say that 260lb/ft will be a bit of an understatement tbh! a standard one will take 230 lb/ft if treated correctly with no hard launches!!!

i've already got a stage 2 just wondered how much stronger 2+ was or to go with a quaife straight cut

what do these gearboxes cost new? and what prices do they go for second hand if they are available?

i have one in my fiesta and its running just over 300 lbs, but mine bloody broke, part of the lay shaft and the pinion is broken, waiting to see wat happens, my gear box is at cts at the min, its going to cost me over Ł800 to fix, my box is the stage 2+.

so really, i dont think it can take 300 lbs with huge abuse but having said that my car used to run 341lbs and it did not break then.

i think its down to the way you drive it if you just plant it and dont take your foot off the gass wen its in gear you should be ok, thats wen mine broke, wen i took my foot off the gass

i broke every tooth off 2nd gear and the input shaft, think i'm going with a quaife straight cut kit
