im beyond whats wrong with my ersturbo now? i dunno if its the metering unit or the ecu? or what ever else it could be? it starts then runs fine then runs shit. then wont start. then starts and builds up rpm by its self to a decent idle speed then starts dropping and when u touch the accelerator it just kills it n dies out again?

first check idle speed screw under throttle butterfly (big screw with spring on it). turn it little and see what happens. there is so much thing that can make same simptoms so use search on forum. can be just idle need adjusting by screw, can be bad mixure at idle etc.....

Sounds like a lifter m8
Normally they say that after 40k km the cam is so out of shape that u can measure an decrease in power, so check the lifters.
Is it "clicking" from the head or?

mines starting get like that, its harder to start every morning, have to have foot to the floor fro about 5 secs to get it to start, and when it does start it sound rough as. like its running on 3. but once warmed up its lovely, i get alot of tapping but ive got solid lifters in so dont know what to think.but when cold it sounds like theres 1 lifter making more noise than the others, sounds like a skeleton havin a wank in a biscuit tin.
what you all think?

I can set it up for you, I'm in Stockport.
I have a spare working ECU and metering head if it's needed. In honesty it sounds like it's too lean. It runs ok cold as the fuel ecu is enriching it, once warm it leans it off and it's dying.
Rick.
