Silver Top Or Black Top?
Which engines do most people use when doing there zetecd turbo conversions? the silver or black top engine. thanks

Most people go for the earlier, silver-top engine.

people keep saying that the black top and ST170 have better flowing heads for high bhp engines but R8T BOY on here has got 536bhp form a early silver top block and head

mate i have asked the smae think on other sites most people have siad sliver tops, but been told black tops are the better engine

People use the silver-top because of convenience.. it's easier to install than the black-top, unless you have a focus or mondeo.

Didnt they do a full spread on this in performance ford a couple of months back, it had all the info you need pros/cons etc, i will dig it out
