Default 1.8 cvh rubber cam cover gasket

has anyone else fitted one of these? the rocker cover doesnt seem to wana go on it very well, looks like the gasket is too big in places. Do i need to trim some of t he bits of the cover that are like little teeth if that makes sence

Yeah mine does to, but main bit that concerned me is in places the gasket is being bent down a bit where the little teeth part of the rocker cover is pushing onto, thus creating a small gap which i wondered if oil could find its way through.

ah ok then cheers mate. How is your car going these days? Hope all is well. If u remember, my car was the red series2 that i had converted to efi cossie management, but over the past winter i got fed up with endless running troubles so i sold the management and am building up a nice not too far from standard mfi build. Started building it all up again then couple weeks ago i got offered a 2.1zvh from a mate. So, it may be build number 3 coming up lol

Fitted one to mine and iirc a couple of the tabs were in the wrong place and hit the coilpack bracket so i cut them down with a stanley knife, they do seems to fit a bit funny but hasn't leaked thus far!
