delocking
Hey all! About a month ago some one broke into my S2 when I was changing the clutch on it (when batt was disconnected so no alarm)!
The nicked 3 amps and a 15-inch sub!
They broke the passenger side lock so I decided I wouldn't fix it and would get the car de-locked.
I taped it up and left it. Went to lakeside the next week and some one else smashed my drivers side lock and dented the door above the lock. They didn't get in and must of been scared away.
Is my door fixable and how much will it cost to get de-locked and straightened.
Does any one know of any good places that can do this near Cambridge??
Cheers

dont do it! replace the locks. ive just tried to fit a turbo timer to mine & it hard to find 1 that works with my alarm. having your car de-locked will piss you off in the future!
& ive had to smash a window to get in before!

ha ha well I would leave the boot lock on so I can get in by climbing through the boot
Its just a case of how much?, where? and will the do it if the top of the lock hole is bent?
PS I already fitted turbo timer in myself and alarm comes on after 2 mins of car being turned off!! (doors locked already)

the other easist way is to keep an eye out 4 two doors that are already done and just have them fitted and sprayed as the doors will need painting anyway might work out cheaper

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
What i would reccomend if delocking your doors is to get one of those battery connection attachments thta they use on scooters and fit it somewhere under your car, then if your battery runs dead you can attach a battery and it will allow you to open your doors if it runs flat.

Yeah its a good idea using a batt to open doors but my alarm will be going spastic way before then cause it will see the voltage drop and below min voltage alarm goes off!! I think it should leave enough juice left for doors to open.
I think I would prob be quicker jumping through the boot in the middle of the night than getting into the garage and trying to connect a batt up to a connector in the dark when I half asleep!
It’s a good idea though but I don’t think it would work for me!
