Do it mate, but as has been said it might be a good idea to leave the boot lock

But then you have to decide if it's there for you to get into, it there for other's aswell!...

thats a good point there dan, my mates s2 got broken into by theving scum going through the boot lock.

the alarm packing up is also a good point but instead of smashing glass surely you'd be better off cutting the rear screen rubber and taking the glass out and then you'd just need to replace the rubber

thanks for the comments every one

Yes mate that would be a better idea than beating windows in!

I know how easy it is to break into a Mk3/4 Escort, a mate locked my keys in an old Mk4 Escort estate I had and I just hit the bootlock with a lump hammer and it popped open first time! Broke into it within 5 secs! FFS lol

I think i've heard of something where you can have a small bit of wire exiting through the floorplan to pull and pop the doorlock if your alarm packs up? Not sure how that would work but...

the bodys going to be as standard mate apart from 17'' azev a's i think they are and lowered slightly (its never going to be a concourse car but a clean and straight one) but i was thinking of delocking for extra security but i wasn't sure if it would ruin the car or not

what boot release have you used?
