S2 head it is then. At least I know now.
I've had the head checked and it seems to be just short of 0.5mm shorter than a standard head which means its been skimmed once or twice. Would this make a huge diference in compression as 3 out of 4 pistons were cracked after a complete rebuild inc new pistons?
Sorry to but in on the orignal post but I'm trying to get answers to my questions and not many people can tell me.
Cheers
Dave

If not can someone tell me whether any RS turbo had a cylinder head which had 'cross hatching' ( like # ) across the front between the spark plug holes, and across the back.
Mine has this you see, its a bit of a mystery as i was shown another RS1600i head which didnt have this, and was told that mine could possibly be a RST head?????
Ill get some pics up tomorrow, the annoying thing is at the moment i havent got the head on me, its still at Burtons where it failed a crack test
