black thing under the bonnet
I have a S2 ERST and theres a black cover on the underside of the bonnet. What is it for, can i take it off, looks crap

here ,,,learn this,,,if you have a dump valve,,,right,,and it lets hot air out,,right,,,it WILL bubble your bonnet if it directly fires hot air at it,,,beleive,,seen it a few times,,not juss the paint like,,,,the METAL bonnet,,trust me dude,,,

not really that likely to happen as cold airflow outside wuld blow it away and it'll keep the bonet cool, suppose it could happen........but never saw it b4 myselfpoint the hose with the d/v down the way more :P

Just removed it today and the dump valve has gone much louder now. Oh yeah it seem the bonnets gonna fall to bits when i slam it shut. Cant have it both ways i guess

Took the dump valve off today and THERE IS NO CHATTER!! I know i should have not listened to you james nah just kidding but seriously theres no chatter and without a dump valve the car doesnt feel like an rs turbo. As soon as the boost is built up and i put the clutch down theres nothing feels like theres something missing (the dump valve).

lmfao....gear change feels smoother tho doesnt it!...alot better to drive!...boosts up better!..and no gay bus sound either!....i only running 16psi and i get chatter!...not loads like a festa or cossie but i can hear it!

each to there own!..i do have a dump valve...its in my glove box!....got told my flames would be bigger if i used it with my flammer kit so always got one handy tho i think my flames are big enough without it!

Flamer Kits?? LMFAO, i used to run TWIN 45 webbers and it used to spit out 3ft flames on every gear change and 4ft wen u dropped it down and it hit 8000 rpm!!!
