Default standard RST-does it alter the fueling itself?

Hi guys, just finished building the RST powered bonus and was after a little advice. The engine is totally standard, running standard boost. Now, ive set the timing with a strobe, but(and dont laugh at this) does the fuel mixture sort itself out? I know you can adjust the fueling at idel and the idle speed, but unsure on the fueling mixute when driveing?

Reason i ask is becuase although im going to take it to be set up, i want to put a few 100 miles on it first to make sure everything is ok.

what is your views guys and gals?

you will need to set the base which then effects the whole fueling throughout the rev range.
do a search there is a guide somewhere i'm sure just so its at least somewhere close so u can drive it for a bit
u can guage whether its lean/rich by applying pressure to the fuel flap, can't remember how u adjust it accordngly though but it does work

You have to remove the air filter. If you press the flap down a tiny little bit, you're enriching fueling for this moment.

And now it's very simple. If the engine speed rises, that means that it can take advantage of the extra fuel and therefore increase rpm. The car is running lean.

If the engine speed drops, it means that the extra fueling doesn't have a positive effect because there's already too much of it. The car is running rich.

If you set it to "slightly rich" you should be OK.

just be very gentle with idle CO screw , because it is very sensitive. The easiest way to set idle CO is to go the garage who have lambda, and set your %CO about, manuals said 0.5-1.1% , some people told me to set it about 2%.

I setting my with PeterRST method, and/or looking colour of the sparks.

Hehe, another spark plug checker... :P

It's not like we had any other choice. Only a handful of Ford tuners in Germany and no real RST experts. It's all about Cossies and modern Diseasel tuning... I guess it's the same in Croatia.

@Dragsteer: I've also modified my fuel pressure actuator for a richer mixture. If you need a DIY instruction, let me know.

Oh, and I might spend my next holiday in Croatia (Istria, somewhere between Porec and Pula probably). Would be a good opportunity to take some pictures of our cars. Judging from your number plate you're from Rijeka, right?

yes I live in Rijeka, but I go on holiday in Krk (biggest Island in Croatia). It is good idea to take some pictures and I would like to see you car. If you coming anywhere in Croatia just send me pm

How you modified fuel pressure actuator? maybe connect it to crossover pipe (before throttle buterfly)? or turn on screw for more fuel pressure?
