Default help needed

ive been offered a s1 only prob is the vin plate is missing im told it was lost when the car was restored the floor no matches the log book and the car is mint condtion,????how would or even could you get a new vin??? thanks men in advance

Theres people that make aftermarket chrome ones etc, but im not too sure if any of the information on them is specific to each vehicle or not.

Could be a potential nightmare IMO

available from your ford dealer for about £50, you wil need to produce all your documents though

As said, take your documents to Ford and they will charge you around £50 for a new plate. The actual plate is around £3, but the rest is for them to send docs away to DVLA, they stamp one up and send it back to Ford for you to pick up.

You could get one of the aftermarket shiny vin stampers to do one, but if you come to sell the car I'd say most people would ask to see the original as well. Plus I think even those are around the £25/£30 mark.
