Default S2 boost problem

Car was just back from AVA on Friday, set up holding 11psi of boost to try and keep my engine reliable until I source my new engine/or choose a build.
Last night was only Saturday and my car cut out pulling off a roundabout in first gear, the car started back up but was lumpy as Fcuk and then wouldnt boost at all, I tried driving it home taking it easy and short shifting gears and all seemed fine with my bro following in his saff coz.
I was just about home and the car started back firing and seems fooked.
Any idea's??
Looks like the RS will be going off the road sooner than I thought for engine and resto work.

Cheers

Does it idle ok or does it have to be held to keep running?

I reckon the sensor in the dizzy could be breaking down....

It was idling ok before I tried to get it home and then the battery light came on and cut out........thereafter it needed Revs to stop it from cutting out.
AVA modified my distributor using my old one and my new one for some reason(cant remember why)
Would this stop it boosting??

Hmmmm, they don't usually play up on idle, usually as it starts to boost. Well, if you think about it the dizzy controls the spark, if the sensor is playing up then the engine will struggle to run at all let alone boost.

If it doesn't idle anymore without using the pedal then i'd be more inclined to agree with what Lee is saying.......

Makes no odds, once the car is running it will run forever and a day off thr alternator with no battery, and better because theres not the constant load of charging the battery.
