Default Removing a dump valve

Just had a trawl through the search results (got 400+ results) to try and find at least one post about how to remove the poo valve ... but I couldn't see any.

Does anyone have a rough guide on how to remove them ? Or is it just a case of taking it out, and plugging up the hole thats left behind ?

This is what you need ..... Have a look at the site

You can take it out & blank it with this.

You didn't say if it's in a boost hose or charge carrier pipe?

They're very nice but also expensive bungs

You will also need to remove the vacuum pipe which ran to it, air leaks are not good on an RST.

if youre dead lazy you could just remove the vacuum pipe as the dump valve will then never open and will act as if its not there.

better off plugging it tho

Don't forget there is the risk of the boost pressure overcoming that of the spring in the DV, meaning it will blow open on boost and leak.....

Remove, bung the dump vale hole, and also remove the pipe that goes from the dump vale to the inlet manifold feed.

It comes off a boost hose, think I might get the plug jobby.
More people say that the DV is worse on than off ... so might give it a try and see if theres anything different

Thinking of getting a shiney poo valve plug from AS.

What happends to the pipe that goes from the top of the bus valve to the inlet manifold ? I read that it needs taking out, but what about the bit where it joins onto at the moment ?

Chatter here I come :P
