Default Mk1 Cosscort

Just a few pics of the build

A standard "been around the block a few times" and welded up shell

Tubs first, a small cut is made

and the finished tub

and an arch and 11x16 wheel at ride height (45mm under chassis rails , race legal)

Then another small cut to fit the rear suspension pick ups in

and the finished rear .. including the chassis raise, race 4 link brackets and covers, race body box x-member and the diff tunnel, the fuel tank stand can be seen in the boot too.

and the wheel at full squat

Havn't a clue on power. I belive he has a "stage 2" engine which is plenty quick enough, any thing above 300-350 tends to make Escorts lap slower.

Never really log all the hours, each part has a set time and thats a 40 hour job on paper, but it takes longer, ... allthough with other jobs and to help spread the invoices its spread over a month or so .

Thanks for the comments

this is a Mk2 that i'm doing at the same time .. this was done over 2 weeks

Firewall upper and lower mounts are in

and the prime cage is in (prime= the basic 6 point + rear diagonal), the rest of the bars (15 separate bars inside) will be going in along with the front end, but i need to finish up the Mk2 racecar first.

The other 15 bars are mainly diagonals and front triangulation to the top mounts.
