waaay- should hope so its summer already!!! ull miss it if you're not careful!!!

edit: its started raining... uve missed it haha.

as for the wheels, ive had the 13's and no matter what tyre make i chose size compound etc, nothing compares to 15's or 16's for sheer grip difference they give between corners... thats before and after the tail end decides to take its own rout.

Ello Paul, how's the Tina mate? Mate, they didn't use ratchet type clutch pedals on the Capri at all, even right upto the end. Do you mean a pedal from a MkV Tina?

Default Cossie Capri.....THE BUILD SO FAR...4/6/06 Update 21/06/08

Righto folks HUUUUUUGE update of photo's, sorry it's been so long, an old knee injury has laid me up for this year , so I thought it was time to do an update of the photos i've had in me camera

Here goes....

Here i've marked out and drilled some holes to make an even bigger hole....

Then I got the Dremmel out and got rid of all the sharp edges and fine tuned the hole....

Then marked and drilled out the fitting holes....

For this little beauty

Now I know what your thinking, why on earth does he want TWO fillers caps ???, well, actually the original X-Pack filler flap is going to be filled in and replaced with this....

Now c'mon, who in there right mind wouldn't prefer summit as nice as this !....

Now the funnel inside needed some of the inner webbing cutting away to fit....

Now I can't thank this lovely Lady enough for all her help, yup lads, it's the Wife-to-Be ! ....

TA DA ! now, the funnel fits better....

Now the Flexible fuel pipe fits a treat...

Had to cut the original filler area out,so the new pipework would fit....

2 inch steel piping that I had bent to shape....

The Missus cutting the old Capri filler pipe down, as it needs to fit the steel pipe....

The old and the new pipe, before being welded up and some flexible pipe to attach to the bent steel pipe....

And the finished article....

Right now, I wanted something different, something unique for rear lights, so I bought these....

Took em apart, and as you can see, there stepped....

But there's was round that ....

I made a template up for the rear of the Capri....

Then cut and bent some metal....

I drew the template out on a new piece of card, wrote down all the dimensions and took the template and the metal to a local engineering firm, because I wanted perfect circles and for it to look right....

On both sides....

Now I know the lights won't be to everybodies cup of tea, but I wanted something really more modern on the back of the car and LED !....

Well thats it for now, hope you guys like the update, sorry it doesn't look much. Hope to get more done when me knee's better

Stay safe out there
Ian

Default Nice job!

Hey

You're doing an awesome Capri mate!. Got a couple of questions for you. Is there anywhere I could get hold of a Rear Disc Conversion kit for Capri's? The thing is this over here callipers and discs and stuff are a lot cheaper than in the UK. I wonder if the plates could be purchased as separate .... Again great job on the Capri! keep it up I hope that mine will look good (started a thread on it if you'd like to take a look

Cheers again

Mighty fine job your doing bud! Liking your choice of wide arch a lot :P Im in the process of building a Capri for my friend and it's proving quite difficult to sorce the X pack kit! Mainly because I would like to keep costs down for him.. Does anyone know of a used kit anywhere? I might have sourced one but thers no harm in finding more His is going the same colour as yours too! But might add some flake!.. Keep Up the Insperation!..
