Default Brake biasvalve (rear), same as "brake line lock"?

Hi all,

The brake biasvalve of my saff 2wd (tube looking thingie near the rear axles) is leaking, so broken. Therefor I want to remove it with a new one.

Now I found a "brake line lock, M10 connections".
Can someone tell me if this will work without changing a lot of things?

Here's an image from the burtonpower site where I found it:

They are not the same thing. The line lock is simply an on/off valve in the hydraulic line.

Thanks for the reaction. We'll have to go look somewhere for the right thing then.

I'm not near my car now, so I don't exactly now what it splits,
I believe it splits the the front and back-brakepressure.

The brake bias valve for the ABS system is mounted on the ABS unit.

You probably mean te 3-way connection above the rear-axle which splits the rear brake pipes

Get it from Ford, it's the same for all Sierras and should set you back about 10,- euros

The guys at the Ford dealer told me a price from around 120 pounds, probably some misunderstanding. I'll take a pic of mine under the car and put it up.

There isn't a 3 way connector on ABS equipped cars, each caliper is independantly connected to the ABS valve block.

We'll know what you are talking about with the help of the photo.

there is deffo a 3 way connector on ther rear of cossys. they only have 1 brake line to the rear then split 4 each side. the part cozzie4d is talkin about is called the rear brake pressure reducing valve. its located over the top of the main beam & it is infact Ł120 from ford allthough its no longer a part that for can get hold of. when my car comes off the road at the end of september im gonna take mine off & see if it can be rebuilt

On 2wd cars the reducing valve is by the rear beam, but on 4x4 versions its right under the valve block in the right hand side of the engine bay instead

I have a good spare one if anyone wants it Ł15 plus post

Sounds good mate, tonight I'm at the garage and I'll make a picture, just to make sure it's the right part. Can you hold the spare one till tonight?

Finally been able to take some pictures of the brakelines.
The part that's broken doesn't split the brakeline to left and right, it's one way in and one way out (I have no idea what it does...)

This is the part thats broken:

and this is the part thats NOT broken (although it looks crappy ):

They look like rear brake compensators, usually these are a fixed calibration and not load sensitive. I can't believe they are Ł120. Someone must know of a different source to Ford.
