European Travel By car - requirements....
your usual insurance policy automatically covers you third party throughout europe, and there's no need for a green card anymore. you should bring the V5 with you and keep with you in the car at all times. the same with your insurance cetificate and driving licence.
depends where in europe you are going, but in some countries some items are compulsory, e.g. triangle, buls, fire ex, flourescent warning vest etc.
unless you have separate travel insurance, taean e111 form with you as well. that will get you any medical treatmet that you need i europe, paid for by the nhs. without that, you will have to pay everything first, and if that includes a helicopter ride off the nuerburgring for instance, it won't be fun, and it won't be cheap.
hope you make it to the 'ring this year. would like to see you and your motor there

Compulsory items when travelling in Europe
Whole of Europe -> 1 triangle, Spain -> 2 triangles
Germany -> extinguisher
Spain, Italy, Austria -> reflective vest
box of spare bulbs, first aid box, glass/window breaker & small can of air -> not compulsory but highly recommended (don't think they can "do you" for not having one tho)
Should always have with you -> driving license, registration papers of vehicle, MOT certificate (control technique), insurance papers, proof of id (as if you still have a old license without photo, its not a proof of id), accident form, medical form
Number to call from anywhere in Europe in case of an emergency: 112

Stealth Bomber, of course it is, but if you have a spare, you can do something about it.
it's fact that your car is covered third party in europe on a normal policy. what is normally restricted to a certain number of days, is the cover above the minimum third party - e.g. fire and theft, or fully comp. normally your insurere will give you a minimum of 30 days of that extra cover in Europe, providing that you notify the dates of travel to them.
whether your fully comp insurance will pay out on the 'ring is another matter.

I'll explain the joke:
Once there was an Austrian painter that was rather crap so he decided to conquer Europe and kill all the jews, wich makes perfect sense if you're a rather crap Austrian painter but not if you have full command over you mental abillities, and his spoken language was German.
Now said person used to sport a small moustache, remarkably simular to the one in my avatar and he used to belt out catchphrases in German at rallies and so on.
One of the more famous ones (amongst classics like: "Hans wo ist mein bratwurst?" and "Eva du blote zou, ich hat gesacht nur cola light!") was:
"Ein volk, ein reich, ein fuhrer!"
Wich roughly translated means:
"One peoples/race, one empire, one leader/ruler!"
