reliability and long stud choice for engine rebuild
Hi
my freshly rebuild engine add a major problem (auxiliary shaft bearing issue) so I start a new one based on a 4WD block. and 2WD head
I check for parts to improve reliability.
I want to use long stud and I see Burton sell 2 versions (6 stud)
- the narrow
- the wide
what's the correct choice ?
for the 4 standard head bolt, any advantage to chose Anembo upgraded head bold instead of the standard one ?
I want to install also oil spray jet kit (again for reliability)
thanks for your feedback to select the proper long stud kit

From: it's not where you are, it's where you've been and where you hope to be
I'd recommend getting the company who are doing the machining to supply the studs too.
the original ford bolts are now I believe unobtainable and those advertised are not the correct bolt type (though physically similar) and don't have the correct stretch functionality. I've used both original stretch bolts and the non-stretchy type without problems on the 4 end holes. those supplied by anembo are non-stretch bolt which have been waisted to introduce the correct stretch functionality.

Yes
i m already discussing with mark
as i should rebuid the engine
do you consider it s a good idea to keep original pistons (mahle with pocket from brand hatch company) oversized plus original conrod with arp
or i can go for forged internals ?
i keeped original pistons to avoid a noizy engine with wossner pistons (slack) and i know 2wd limit is arround 400bhp
now with a 4wd long stud etc perhaps i can upgrade ?
what s your advice ?
