Hi I have an 03 130 tdci and has started to smoke on pull off until 2500 revs thick cloud then sometimes goes to grey, I have replaced the fuel filter and air filter and cleaned the egr and inlet manifold. and today had it plugged in to see if there are any fault codes and none at all showed so am stumped now what it could be I have seen some similar threads but can not get to the bottom of it so any suggestions would be great ...thanks steve

 

Check the intercooler to EGR boost pipe, these can split.

 

sticking turbo vanes

 

i have checked both pipes from intercooler and egr side is fairly new as well as I've reaced it thanks GVK

 

What would be best thing for sticking turbo vanes can they be cleaned easy??

 

You can get cleaners but they aren't really that effective IMO.

You say you've cleaned the EGR, but is it actually working? Cleaning is no guarentee that it's ok. Blank it off and see if the issue remains.

have blanked off the vacuum yesterday and does not seem to have made much difference

Have just ordered a blanking plate so will wait and see if this does the trick, also spoke to a diesel specialist and he has said the same so hopefully this will do the trick, and will post if it does...

hi i have a mondeo tdci 20 ltr at first my 115 bhp mondeo cam sliped so i replaced the engine. only the bear engine was replaced 130 mondeo engine was put back in i have had all 4 injectors recond it will only rev too 2000 rpm turbo dont sound too heathly there black smoke can anyone help
