I don't believe in God.

A friend of his ended up debating the existence of god and was very threatening to my choice to believe that god/devil doesn't exist. After explaining that there is more scientific proof that god doesn't exist than there is of god actually existing, he got fired up asking to meet up for a fight.

Now i'm not a fighter but doesn't this seem really silly? I know he's a faithful Muslim person and i totally respect that and anyone who chooses to have a faith. But to get so offended because i don't believe that there is a man upstairs who created this world.

He got extra wound up when i requested that he 'Physically' proves to me that god exists. Not a holy book, not a youtube vid, not a preacher but to actually prove to me 'Physically' that God does exist.

By no means is this a religious rant as this is just a discussion on the 'Existence of God'. That is the question and i would like to hear you're peoples opinions

God now is the Father figure, or any given person's vision of God, they mould reverance around everyday events to keep a malevolent structure and have that undefinable support. But know, consciously we see things as we are, not as they are so to possibly apply a uniform set of laws to Religious thought/practice/emotion is like treating someone with a cold the same way you would a leper, there's far too much collateral left so people argue as they pick up the slack... it's the perfect way of keeping minds with the same overall interests at eachothers throats, or a glorified waste of fuckin' time

Whilst you cannot prove physically that God does exist, you also cannot prove physically that God does not exist. Therefore its a pointless arguement as both points are moot.

I used to be a jehovas witness, only cos I wanted to shag a girl that went there, so that didn't last long, I was asked to leave for not going door knocking!!
I find the whole bible thing facinating from a historical point of view, certainly odd events went on, but think a lot was added to the stories.
I'm fascinated by the "ark" remains on Mnt Arrarat, and other factual things that have been proven to have happened, eg floods soddom/gomorah, nice god though to flood all those people because they would toe the line religion wise, seems a freindly thing to do.
Religion just creates war imo, we all need to let all believe what each person wants, my sis in law is Hindi, and doesn't beleive in god, doesn't pray etc, but her sister does all the time at certain times when we visit, I respect that and keep quiet.

Ignore him, he's being a tool. Unfortunately I know a lot of people like this (being in the ME) they tend to get offended when I tell them I don't believe in God. I've had people tell me my life is incomplete because I choose not to believe in something that obviously exists. I've asked them to prove it and I usually get the reply, you feel happier and more content . I usually feel that way when I've eaten or had sex, and God has fuck all to do with that, unless he's called 'wife'.

I even got a verbal warning for telling one of my work colleagues I don't believe in something that can't be proven. Little did I know he was an ex-boxer and was tossing up between reporting me and punching my lights out. Luckily, he chose the former (cheers Asif ).

 

This gets me as well,just cant understand it!

 

tbh i have learned more about god from a muslim friend than i learnt in church,,,, he was the one that told me there is just one god and different interpretations of it based on parts of the world hence moses/mohamed ect all have the similer names amd he is a VERY VERY smart person but he still takes he religion serious out of respect for hes family and so traveled for miles to touch a religious rock or stone or something

now i DONT belive in it,, BUT he has taught me to respect others choices and no longer call them " god botherers " or nut jobs out of mutual respect for him

he managed to not only respect my thoughts but managed to turn my reaction to him that im guessing offended him but he done it in a very smart way that a ignorant prick like me took the time to listen which is fucking hard tbh

Often seems that when someones religeous beliefs are challenged they quickly resort to aggression as a defense of those beliefs.

I am not a believer although to a degree the idea of good and evil right and wrong plays an important part in society.
