God now is the Father figure, or any given person's vision of God, they mould reverance around everyday events to keep a malevolent structure and have that undefinable support. But know, consciously we see things as we are, not as they are so to possibly apply a uniform set of laws to Religious thought/practice/emotion is like treating someone with a cold the same way you would a leper, there's far too much collateral left so people argue as they pick up the slack... it's the perfect way of keeping minds with the same overall interests at eachothers throats, or a glorified waste of fuckin' time
