Default Gearbox Problems

Hi, put my 3 Door away at the end of last summer everything working well. It went for its MOT yesterday, passed which was a huge relief, but on the way home I was unable to select 5th gear. Hadn’t been a problem on the way there. Took it out again this morning and I can get fifth but very sticky (not sure if that is the right word). First thoughts are low on gear oil get some new oil and change it and do the diff while I am at it. Does anyone know which gearbox oil I should use and which rear diff oil to use?

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Many Thanks in advance!

It's probably just needing a good run to loosen up the box, most fill with the recommended ATF, personally I use gear oil 75W90.
For the diff use something like 75W90 LSD oil, it must be lsd suitable oil.

Thanks! I hope it is nothing serious, as I have only used the car about 8-9 times in the last 4 years.
