No way to get out of it really. You were speeding, so bend over, drop your trousers and take it like a man

It all depends on the circumstances as to whether there are any loop holes or to the amount of points/fine you could expect. Every case is different.

Wait for all the goodie goodies who do 'EVERYTHING' to the book themselves, saying 'you were speeding' blah blah blah 'just accept it and take the points/fine'. Its because of these people that there are so many speed cameras around in the first place. If people just accept it without a fight, then it will only get worse!

You have to receive the notice within 14 days of the alleged offence i do believe for it to be valid

Write to them and ask for the Calibration Certificate for that camera. If you recieve this, ask for photographic evedince, if you are unsure who was driving.

And then what? They will have a calibration certificate, and they will send a pic (if they've not already) ?

The Camera Pratnerships are all wise to this stuff now.

I'm just waiting for the sanctimonious Gatso lovers to jump on this thread now and tell him he needs to be kicked in the face for daring to exceed the speed limit.

speeding is a risk we take
knowing that the laws regarding breaking the speed limits are draconion if enforced by a machine
and we still take the risk

i can't say for sure if i've ever driven a day ni my motoring life without having excceded the posted speed limit at least once during virtually every journey, yet i have a blemish free license

i'm all for trying to wriggle out of it, but, at the time you go past the posted limit, you are leaving yourself wide open, quite literalty, for a shafting by elderly william

Most of the time they will send you what you request but their are those other times when they don't. A friend of mine requested photographic evedince and never heard anything. This was well before Christmas.

If that's the case he should have pleaded not-guilty. If it goes to court and he's not been supplied with any evidence then the case is dropped. The risk is that they supply the evidence a couple of days before the trial, and then you're stuffed.

Ask one of the local polish lot for his address in Poland and say it was him driving.

According to the Pepipoo Website it's more a case of you have been forgotten about. However, I know he did spend the whole of this year texting me to tell me he had a suspicious letter. It's been 10 months now and nothing.

I have read up on this and they apparently they do check up on the Address. I assume he will have an address though, so I can't see why it wouldn't work?

this is why you get your mum/wife/grandparent/etc to lend you their license

back in the day of paper license and no computers, everyone had 2 copies, one they kept in the plastic wallet, one hey kept in their pocket, the pocket one was the one they sent off to get pints on, the paper one was the one they kept when going to the job interviews etc

he already got 3 points about 3 days before so i think it was to make sure he was as close to the limit as possible before loosing his job

he lost his job about 5 months later anyway

i've tried that as it was 6 weeks after the offence when i got the fine. but they replied saying they contacted the owner who's name it was registered in with in 14 days and there is'nt a time spam after the first 14 days???

i've asked for photographic evidence and Calibration Certificate.
they have sent the photographic evidence (you can't see who was driving) but they have'nt sent me the calibration certificate.

no, our fleet manager caught him with canibis paraphenalia in his van, asked him who's it was "mine" was the reply, suspended, sacked for not taking the urine sample by taking the day off and then saying the place he was supposed to go to was closed (us being in the pharmacutical industry and having docrots and nurses doing medical stuff all day long and knowing what they were talking about put paid to his lies as he was pointed to the direction of the building he was to take the test in but he simply didn't turn up until the next day with the "it was closed" excuse)

and seeing as our policy of driver is that you should have a clean license in order to get a job and anything over 6 points puts you into the "you need to go on a speed awareness course for a day" tends to make getting more points a bit of a problem if you can't do your job seeing as you are going to lose your license

in any case, about 2 weeks before he got caught, he was done again for speeding so it would have been better for him to resign than get sacked

Poor Advice from Benni as it's incorrect.

IF you are sent a confitional offer of fixed penalty you are not being prosecuted so theyre not obliged to do shit for you.

they only have to send you anything if they prosecute.

Ask for evidence and expect a summons in response

OK, ask for photographs so you can identify the driver. They cannot summons you to court for that. My advice was badly worded, as long as you do not say evedince, you are fine.

Benni.
