My mate is going for a medical before starting to train to become HGV qualified, will they take blood?

Iirc when I had my medical the doctor did take a finger jab sample of blood and performed the blood sugar test, that was in 2000

goin tomorrow, as fas as im aware, its blood pressure, urine sample just general health really, oh and eye sight

That was what I had recently for my private hire license. Was in and out in 15 minutes and Ł85 poorer

 

Exactly. If he wants to be a wagon driver that shouldn't even be an issue

Of course could be barking up the wrong tree here, the guy might not like needles or something.... fair question in that case.

Drugs and trucks don't mix though if that is the reason for asking...

on a seperate noet, did you know that if you get done for drink driving they take away your hgv/pcv part of the license for good?

back to the point in question, urine samples, all the normal tests, but no bloods when i did mine back in 2000 as well
