Gotech Ignition amp
i have a erst runnin gotech management, which i have to say jamie at jamsport did a brillant job fitting. but now i have realised the ignition amp must have been getting hot which is a bosch 6 pin amp, i orderd 1 up and they sent a 7 pin when i put it on the car it ran shit on idle, then i orderd a propper bosch 1 and again that caused it to run shit on idle even tho bosch say they are the same!? when i put the old 1 bach on it runs fine, but i would like to replace it as i has some meltin marks on it. i did realise that when it was put on the paste wasnt used, so i asume thats why it got hot! does any 1 have any ideas why this might be happening? your views are much appreciated.
What's the type (number) of the amplifier? Don't know much of the 6-pin ones, but there is at least 20 different versions of the 7-pin amplifier that can not be mixed. Some control dwell, some are multichannel, some read reluctance sensors, etc...
i gave the numer 2 a local motor factor and they mached it. thinkin they might have got it wrong i gave the number to bosch and the one they sent me has a matching number across the middle but with the addition of 1 extra pin!? mabey i need to move some pins?
