std air box or k+n filter?

Default std air box or k+n filter?

i have k+n filter on the s2 but was going to put the old airbox back on? what is best people?

tbh maybe the airbox cos u dont get as much hot air from the turbo.jamsport did a test on this and found a drilled airbox made made more bhp

i thought this i drove to silverstone on sunday, hand felt the k+n and it was hot to be fair. ill buy a std airbox, do i need to get the clips to fit it down?

cant remember how it secures down,but its a tite fit over the air intake neway so it will hold it down anyway mate

there held down with a 10mm blot and tourqe sqrew (thats how mine is)

i read a review in one of the rags and out of all the expensive filters, the standards box with a replacement panel and drilled holes gave the most bhp, but remember these tests were at static with only fan at the front of the car, imo if you properly protect the filter from heat soak and apply some good air ducting then that is the way foward

its worth loosing a couple of BHP for a K&N as the airbox looks wank,esp with holes drilled init!!
