Yes is the short answer. Pain in the arse is the second! From the ford scematics ive seen it looks like they intended to for the RS and the 2i but never did, that and Air Con. Someone asked this in a post in Technical Q&A and I answered there, have a look and if you cant find it ill repost the info here. I can write a full "how to" plus pics for XR's and RS's if anyone's interested?! Did it to my XR2i last year, and steering is SWEET now!

Yes and no I wouldn't bother.

The Fiesta steering isn't what you'd call heavy. Adding PAS adds stuff and complicates an already cramped bay. It will also sap some power from the car to run the pump and in my experience PAS equipped cars lack the driver feedback of the non PAS equipped cars and feel a bit vague.

I totally agree, which is why i almost didn't do it BUT - Fiesta Mk3 PAS is still rough enough that you can feel the car, and yet light enough so that your not pulling it round when parking. My Sister's MKIV is light a hell in comparason. It's almost "primitive PAS", which for people like us, is what you want over stupidly light steering. You're right about the bay too, the Alternator and PAS bracket takes up a very large area now, and its pretty tight for pipes over that side too.

FRST had a quicker rack from the factory and i never found any of mine heavy in fact they were very easy to move.

waste of time and money is the answer

unless you have a T3 fitted you would no where to mount the pump anyway unless you fitted a electric one,but as said why bother.

air con was fitted to some models but export models only, no uk mk3 had it fitted
