converting carb head to efi
spent the weekend modifying a std carb head(cross pattern on hexaust side)to fit efi manifold from xr3i
browsed one of the restoration/rebuild pages of an adaptor plate which is used to fit the efi manifold to the standard mfi/carb head
on my previous motor , i match ported the inlet manifold for my dellorto dhla(f)40's and was only left with 2mm around the port on the head.i was woried that it would blow but i used some good quality thick gasket material with some high temp silicone and experienced no problems , even at 1.5 bar plus
after seeing this plate , i am now worried that i have not got enough meat left on the head for a decent seal. after grinding away material to fit the injectors , i only have on some places 2.5mm left at the top.
will i have problems here?

i reckon its a case of trying it, ive seen ppl drill out snapped manifold studs to fix a heli coil in instead of the stud and the holes were practicly on the line of the head
