Yeh you know exactly what im thinking the vac pipe is what operated the valve and even if he is fitting a re circ valve he will need the vac and if he is totaly removing the valve then he should be aware of turbo stall have no idea what boost this becomes a problem but you never know

Mark, the dump valve on/off debate has been going on here for years and is still not resolved.

As said, T3 and T34 are ok and won't suffer in the long term.

However, T4 and GT series turbos deffo need them iirc.

A quick search on here will give you both sides of the argument, up to you to make up your mind

I wasn't suggesting you should get into the argument

The most likely reason recirculating valves are fitted to standard turbo cars is that your average joe blogs has no interest in the pschiiit noises, or chatter (turbo blades cutting through compressed air).
They keep the car quiet, but don't necessarily add anything to the reliability of the car overall

They become really necessary with bigger turbos or seriously big boost.
