The 2i and FRST heads are the same as are the camshafts actually, only real difference is the cam pulley.

Bottom end wise the turbo has an oil return in the front of the block for the turbo.

ok stupid question number 3
can you combine an escort turbo bottom end with a fiesta xr2i 8v efi head to give you the equivelant as the normal fiesta turbo engine ?

not trying to be a smart arse but am an english guy staying in hollnd, own an original dutch fiesta turbo, my engine is making funny noises, need to get a replacement, only 34 fiesta turbos were sold here, spares are like rocking horse s@%t !! so looking for a solution !!

Yes mate bootom end and fiesta top end no probs.

If you have a frst and its the bottom end thats fooked then escort may go in but you may need to drill the block for cps.

If its the top end of the engine then i may just be the cam, so cam change would solve it and you can buy that from this country to send to you.

i know the frst one is meant to make the frst more torquey then if you were to use an xr2i due to the different timing

If you are using a escort bottom end you will need to fit a crank sensor which im told is easy

Sorry for butting in.
This might help to identify your pulleys, look for the part number on the pulley.
