Default tidy 2i

Im hoping to sell this 2i soon what do you thik its worth? it has a rather large rusty spot under the petrol cap where petrol has bin splashed over the years but im sorting out and other odd little bubbles
here and there
the springs have bin cut to make it this low but ill either fit standard springs or a lowerin kit and once upon a time it had a broken rear axel!! but now new an replaced.
but its only had 3 owners from new has full service history and has done 85k it seemed like a good deal at the time
i swapped my old grey s2 for this and 200 squid

Sorry to say they aren't worth too much.

Yours looks very similar to my mums. I would be inclined to put it back to standard and e-bay your lights seperately and put the car in the paper for £800. We got my mums 58,000 mile grey XR2i for £700 and a huge wedge of service history and receipts down to the last nut and bolt.

The rust around the filler cap is nothing to do with petrol it's moisture that collects between the panel skins and rots it from the inside out. A proper reapir on this involves cutting out the section and welding in a repair panel. Wouldn't expect much change from £300 for this. If you repair it with filler it will only mask the problem and will come back bigger and badder in about 6 months.

Possibly not what you wanted to hear though

If you've got a mate in the trade I'm sure he'll look after you. TBH if it were mine I'd just have it fillered so it was tidy to sell. Let me know if you do whip the lights off as I'll be interested in them for the wifes new FRST
