Default help - which trickle charger?

any of you concourse guys use a trickle charger while the wet weather is about?

looking at getting one but dont know where to start or which is best!

had a look of ebay but looks like a load of plastic crap!

c-tek charger spot on had on mine all the time for 2 years it chargers and conditions the battery easy to get just search on internet for them

Eliseparts.com have a couple of good ones - a solar one which works if you park outdoors, or a good normal trickle charger for indoor (garage) use. They work fine on my Elise, so don't see why it would be any different for any other car

thanks for the input.

searched for those c-tek chargers and they were 200 odd Ł's! sod that.

decided to buy one off ebay. if its junk then i'll get another proper one. looks like the one on elise.com. cheers for the link gareth!

one last qu i promise!

charger arrived today but it says you have to disconnect the battery from the vehicle to avoid damage to the alternator and other elec circuits.

is this right because i was hoping just to whack the croc clips on as it is and leave it. then when it comes to taking the car out i wouldnt have to arse around connecting the battery up again!
