one last qu i promise!

charger arrived today but it says you have to disconnect the battery from the vehicle to avoid damage to the alternator and other elec circuits.

is this right because i was hoping just to whack the croc clips on as it is and leave it. then when it comes to taking the car out i wouldnt have to arse around connecting the battery up again!
