right, so the story goes i recently dropped my laptop, and the lovely PC world have sent me £539 worth of vouchers to replace it.

A mate works in PC world and can get me 10% discount, meaning i've got £600 to spend, before i have to add any more hard earned

I 100% need to buy a new laptop, although as i have a decent PC, the laptop is only ever guna be used for internet / email / music etc etc, gaming is not of concern to me.


After having a look round the website the following laptops stand out to me.

I think instantly i have dismissed the Acer, as its a 17" screen, and im pretty sure i'd rather have the slightly smaller 15" widescreen, so its easier / smaller to carry around all the time. Although it is a good spec for the price

So i guess it comes down to the Compaq vs the Sony

Now the Sony is the better specced and better looking laptop, but is it really worth an extra £200 over the compaq ?

So, do i go for the Sony laptop, or do i go for the Compaq and spend the other £200quids worth of vouchers on something else ?
