Default What wireless gaming mouse ???

My current Microsoft wireless optical mouse has just died. It lights up but wont connect to the reciever and then after 3 mins goes into power save and switches off because no signal so its fucked

Im now looking for another Wireless mouse but i started to play alot of games. The only wireless gaming mouse that i know of is the Logitech Cordless G7 Gaming but its £50

Would you pay £50 for this mouse : http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...ONTENTID=10716

Has any one used one, or know of a better product on the market?

What you think?

Its worth it for its looks and all of the functions etc, but i wouldnt pay that much when you could spend 25-30 on another mouse that would perform almost as well if not on par, except you may not have as many buttons, unless of course you have money to burn then go for it!

I dont do that much gaming but when i play Hitman or Doom3 i use my 30 quid packard bell wireless/infa-red/rechargable jobbie works fine and it has the usual 2 buttons, centre scrool wheel, hotkey for putting certain funtions on to it, and also back/forward buttons for your web browser, and it lasts 2 weeks once charged and thats using it every day

I took a pic because im bored

Had it about 6months, flawless

I do enough gaming to not want to use a wireless mouse......they may have a long battery life, but the last thing I'd want is the thing dying in the middle of a clan-match or similar.

Happy with my 5-button Raptor Mystify Mamba "Special Edition", it glows red through the translucent case!

Dan have you looked on that link, you will see its virtually impossible for the batterys to run dry with that battery status lights mines got a little red L.E.D that blinks when ive got about 2 hours use left so i just stick it on charge over night and its good for another week or 2

Looking at the spec, it says it has a 10-hour battery-life (2.5 days at an average of 4 hours per day)......so, as above, that'd be useless, since I can quite easily game for 18 hours on a weekend-day!

Which is why I use a corded mouse/keyboard...

Yeah but you get 2 battery pack that change in seconds and while you using 1 you charge the other one so your never left with a flat battery

At the end of the day you cant say cordless is bad because of batterys can ya. The reason that one above doesnt have a very long battery life is probably because of all the techno wizardry and high precision

I'd be tempted to pick up an icemat, since Scan is a 10-minute drive up the road, but my desk just isn't big enough for one...

When I move house, going to sort out a proper-sized desk, not some little portable computer-desk. Just need to find a decent chair, the one I'm using now isn't too bad but it just doesn't feel that comfortable after you've been sitting in it a while.

Why do you need a mouse mat with a laser/optical mouse? isnt that other part of the joy, being able to use it on nearly any surface? mine works perfect on my smooth wood desk

Not sure whether it's the surface of the desk, but my mouse stutters and jumps quite a bit on it (optical). Pop it on a cheapo 25p foam mouse-mat, and it's perfect again...

if you tried an icemat with your optical/laser mouse you probably not do without one from that point forth, the tracking of the mouse is SUBLIME and very accurate at fast speeds
