hi can some one tell me why my avg free box on the bottom right hand side has lost all of its colours it used to look yellow black green red now it looks 4 shades of grey it was coming up with the wrong date ? not to good with IT help please on the main screen the colours are all their

 

all it means is that the virus database is out of date or something is in active.

All you need to do is double click the grey box.
It will have all the functions AVG can do, if there is anything there that is coloured red, right click to update or activate the function.

 

As above, check updates and check the email scanner hasnt turned itself off or anything else

 

get rid of it, AVG for free does very little, go for Avast! its also free and way better
